The Viking Lounge - Lacey

I attended a retirement gathering for a government employee with 32 years of service. The staff was friendly, the drinks were excellent, and there was karaoke too! They have a thorough sanitization protocol; they take breaks every 20 minutes and sanitize after each singer. This is a fantastic establishment—go Vikings! I would definitely drive up from Tacoma just for the karaoke here. The singers are really talented, so be prepared; it's serious business! The only downside was that I would have appreciated a bit more attention from my waitress, but given how busy it was, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. This has officially become my go-to karaoke spot!

The staff are consistently friendly! This cozy little bar also offers karaoke! The food is always delicious. It can get quite busy on Friday nights, so if you prefer a quieter atmosphere, it's best to arrive early.

Even though it’s a bar that serves food, it's not necessary to drink; I usually just order a glass of water with a slice of lemon. On December 13, 2019, I added new food pics, and on December 18, I had their homemade meatloaf sandwich with those scrumptious onion rings. Recently, I enjoyed their burger dip with crinkle fries, and I must say, I’ve been craving those delicious cheeseburgers and fries! The Viking is still open for takeout during the COVID-19 pandemic. Today, I had a big, juicy cheeseburger with fries, and it was fantastic! I plan to call in for another order tomorrow. Although they may be a bar, their food is truly exceptional. During the COVID-19 period, they aren’t serving alcohol, but the food is definitely a must-try! Make sure to visit The Viking on Martin Way East and tell them Daren sent you. I’ll be stopping by again tomorrow!

The Vikings Lounge attracts patrons of all ages. From Monday to Wednesday, you can expect a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. However, from Thursday to Saturday, be prepared for loud music and a lively crowd that includes Millennials, Gen X, Baby Boomers, and Gen Z. Regardless of the night, you can always count on excellent service. The Vikings Lounge has raised the standard for bars in the Olympic/Lacey area, and people travel from surrounding communities just to experience it. Do yourself a favor and visit. They also host karaoke nights, just be sure not to sit on the tables! A heartfelt thank you to The Vikings Lounge for their consistency, especially when I haven’t been. The Viking Lounge has the best bar snacks. You receive excellent service from the bartenders. Rani, the afternoon bartender from Monday to Friday, makes the best drinks. The atmosphere in the bar feels like a fun and friendly gathering with friends. Definitely worth a visit!
