Winn Son's Pizza And Steakhouse

The service was great. 2 young gals waitressing and they were very friendly and attentive. I had the Sunday special of chicken fried steak with homemade mashed potatoes and green beans. Steak and potatoes caned covered in country gravy, and were very good. The canned green beans were inedible as they were not seasoned at all. They must have been the kind that have no salt. My husband had the 4 piece chicken dinner. Wing, thigh, breast, leg, no substitutes. We arrived a little after 1:00 for lunch, and the chicken must have been made for the noon rush, because it was dry, dry, dry. Both our meals included the salad bar. It was clean and well stocked, but nothing to get excited about. Several patrons had ordered pizza and it looked quite good. We will try this place again if we get the chance, the service was great!

Had some business to transact in Indianola so decided to look for a locally owned restaurant on the square for lunch. Winn's was a great choice. My folks ordered a medium pizza to share, loved it, and took home leftovers. I'd read a review about the Greek Gyro. I was a bit hesitant since it didn't appear that they specialize in Greek food, but decided to give it a try with a side of fries. I was impressed. The gyro was very good and quite filling. With the addition of some salt, the fries were excellent. The service was fast, efficient, and friendly. I would definitely eat there again.

This restaurant was recommended (the gyros in particular). They were excellent. Also was told that they had the best pizza in town.

My family and I LOVE this place!! My husband and I are always so surprised by the quality of food. I know that may seem crass, but when you live way out in the country and all you have to enjoy are small town eateries, you lower the bar a bit. However, Winn Sons in Lacona makes the bar jump in huge leaps. Taylor and Chloe are amazing waitresses. They always make my family and I feel as if we are their favorite customers. I know it isn't the case, bc I see the love and attention they share with all of their customers. Honestly, we will never eat at another place bear by unless Winn's is closed or we have to. Prices are affordable, though they are on the high side with kids menu being $6.99 (worth it! . Food is delicious! Staff is friendly. They don't hound you or make you feel uncomfortable no matter your COVID precaution views. All are welcomed, and ALL SHOULD COME!

Only been once, we ate steak. I ask mine to be cooked Bleu on black, that's exactly what I received. Not everyone can cook a Bleu steak!!
