The first time I dined here, I ordered the jambalaya and it was excellent. The second visit, I tried the Burnworth Burger which was spicier than I expected, but still enjoyable. However, it did not sit well with my stomach, but that was expected with spicy food. On my most recent visit last Sunday, I opted for the brisket sandwich. While a little fat is okay, the meat was extremely fatty and tough. I had to cut off some parts with my knife and I struggled to chew through it. The sandwich was greasy and I could not finish it. As soon as I got home, I started feeling sick and had to cancel my 4th of July plans to stay home. I am still dealing with an upset stomach. I am generally not one to complain, but I am disappointed that I have to spend the holiday sick at home because of a poor sandwich from this restaurant.
This is EASILY the best brewery in Lafayette. It isn't even close. The only place that has good IPAs and they also have a great cocktail list. Pictured is the Trama Llam Ding Dong Hazy. 10/10.
I have visited this restaurant twice on two separate road trips. While it may be a bit off the highway, it is definitely worth the extra travel. The BBQ is outstanding and I have enjoyed all three beers that I have tried. I was concerned that stopping a second time may not live up to my previous experience, but it exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend giving Teays a try.
Chill environment, friendly fast service, and very tasty food. Teay's River is the place to go! Been here a few times, never been disappointed. Highly recommend!
We learned a while ago that new employees are not bartenders. That's why we always choose a chair and so we met Sarah! Great service, great food, great experience. Oh, yeah, great beer Jason!! I should also mention the gluten-free bungalow. Really nice compared to what had to offer 4 years ago:
