Black Cafe - Lafayette

Been coming here about once a week for the past year, and I've tried almost everything on the menu at this point. Both the breakfast and the lunch are fresh and delicious. I love that they have extra condiments like hot sauce available. Removed 1 star for service because they've gotten my order wrong once or twice (out of dozens). Owner is very friendly and the whole staff is awesome.

Eating is great, but they don't have regular French pommes, they have sweet kartoffels. I'm not a fan of it. The best burger they have is almost $20. it seems expensive not to come with riders. it is a beautiful environment and eating again is good.

Bacon, egg and Swiss cheese on a croissant was very good, I didn't care about the hot potato scotch ei, beignets were ok, coffee was good. service is chaotic, unorganized, I suspect that employees are not trained accordingly. coffee is good, but the waiting time is too long and the orders are mixed

4.3 stars: black caffe was definitiw a jewel that was fucked away in an otherwise average suburb. I was tempted by her famous big black burger so I had to stop for it. the burger was perfectly cooked without sacrificing juiciness and with speck and a fried egg everything they want in a burger. none of us ever tried Scotch eggs, so we ordered one. in the Chinese, the word for deep fried egg and the word for the bomb are homophone (sounds exactly the same; only different meanings) and the Scotch egg was quite literally bombed. it was so delicious that we ordered more. both the verbal compassion and those who came first were suspicious, but I preferred the pork. it was well seasoned and very filled. we also have a café au lait and a espresso. the coffee was just in order. my family and I ended our meal with a order of rignets and to my surprise the mini-beignets were warm and fluffy. in the midst of all controversial and hate crimes committed in recent years against the black and Asian races, I think it is important to support each other. Sure, my family and I have some stars going, but they still have a great customer service and that's all I can ask.
