Metro Lafayette

The brussel sprouts were quite good. The peach bruschetta was very doughy. Description had blue cheese as part of the dish but it was very sparsely added. The eggs Benedict were good but the Thai chicken salad was very bland. Dressing was very light- almost tasteless. We sat outside and it was a very nice environment. Our waiter was very nice and attentive: we'd go back but I'd look through others' reviews to see which dishes were rated higher.

The food at this restaurant is wonderful. The peach bruschetta, which is a seasonal appetizer, was ideal for sharing, although the edges of the toast were a bit overcooked. They offer a great variety of interesting wines by the glass. The burger was outstanding, and the fries were crispy without being greasy. I also had the pan-seared sole, which was cooked to perfection and served with risotto. Both dishes were fantastic, though they could have used a bit more seasoning—so be sure to ask for lemon!

We had our first visit to Metro and started off at the bar, where the service was excellent, the drinks were great, and the atmosphere was lively. After that, we moved to the dining room for dinner and had a wonderful meal. My wife and I enjoyed the mushroom pasta, while the other couple ordered various fish dishes. Everything was extremely delicious, and the pasta was particularly rich. We finished off with a selection of desserts, and we thoroughly enjoyed both the food and the service. The only suggestion I would offer to the hotel is that the entrance area from the street could benefit from tidying up, as the landscaping and litter could use some attention. We also discovered a door from the parking lot side (near the bar), but we missed it initially because it was hidden by some trash bins nearby.

The food at Metro is consistently excellent. The service is also very good. If you enjoy oysters, this is one of the best places to get good ones!! Look forward to our next visit to Metro

This was a special birthday dinner for my husband. With us were our two kids and grandchild. The high chair awaited us and Noe was all prepared with a candle for dessert. When our grandson got a little antsy, the server helper (don't know his name) quietly came over and asked if we wanted him to see if they have any toys or books. The kids said a big Yes, and he arrived with some wonderful options, truly an unexpected service. Overall dinner was terrific and Noe's service was top notch (and what a memory for our special requests he has)! Thanks for a wonderful evening!
