Steak 'n Shake - Lafayette

I encountered several issues during my visit to this restaurant. First, I was surprised to be asked for a tip before receiving any service at the kiosk. Additionally, I was discouraged from cleaning my own table, which I found frustrating. The staff noticed the situation but completely ignored it; this happened at 11:42 on Sunday, September 25th. The condiment counter was also in poor condition, looking like it had been wiped with a very dirty cloth. We arrived around 11:30, and throughout our meal, I didn’t see anyone cleaning the area. By 12:09, there were still no proper sanitation practices in place. At one point, a woman with a child commented on how dirty the tables were, making it difficult for her to find a suitable place to sit. On a positive note, the food was quite good. We left at 12:13.

Today, I didn't have to wait long for a delicious burger that pleasantly surprised me. Originally from Indiana, I ordered the number four, which is a single patty. This place also offers a double cheeseburger, making my experience even more enjoyable!

It had been a year since my last visit to this restaurant, and unfortunately, not much had changed. The wait time to place our order was still quite long. The staff member who assisted us was friendly, but the service seemed disorganized. Despite clearly requesting no whipped topping (something I've mentioned several times in the past), I received it anyway, and there wasn’t even a cherry on top. On the positive side, I really enjoyed the burger, and the $5.00 deal was a fantastic value. However, the small bun was too dry and crumbled in my hands. I hope they can address these simple issues because I'd love to return again.

Went to them after the location on sagamore was an awful experience. Here they were so nice, helped me use my coupon that wasn't going through and the food LOOKED and TASTED delicious

Driving up 65 exited to get something to eat and use bathroom. Steak and shake sounded good. Got there between 7 and 8 pm. Drive through was the only option, Indoor dining closed(no bathroom available.
