Tsunami Sushi Lafayette

Who would expect to find such a good sushi restaurant in Lafayette, Louisiana? I didn't and I was pleasantly surprised. This upscale (but rather noisy) sushi restaurant had more choices than I get in Chicago--and we have a sufficient Japanese population to support a plethora of nice sushi restaurants. The service was excellent. One caveat--don't get the house wine. I'm sure they have good beer and drinks but not their house wine.

To those who know what that is; knows of it’s significance. Had double-date night, plus brother visiting from the Air Force. Outstanding service, sushi and ambiance! I come here every time I come to Lafayette for business — and so should you. Recommend the Candy Cane roll, Happy Feet roll and the Luscious Lemonfish nigiri and the Eggplant appetizer!

I love All the sushi but this one wins for consistency. I like the atmosphere too and these people are quick. Eggplant miso and rainbow roll have my heart. Not a fan of the downtown scene but I’ll do it for the fish, Tsunami Lafayette is my Hands down fave!

My husband and I had our anniversary dinner here. Our waitress was personable and helpful, the food was delicious, and the chef customized my sushi as I'm allergic to shrimp. Always happy to return!

My go to place for anything sushi/sashimi! Always fresh, always delicious. Great bar, too!
