Martins Grill - Lagoa

Really surprised to read some of the recent reviews as we dined here last Friday and had a really good lunch. We had the golden sea bream and the sardines. Both meals were absolutely lovely and cooked perfectly. We also ordered a nice bottle of Portuguese Sauvignon Blanc and really enjoyed it (not usually that impressed with Portuguese wine but this was very good at Euros 22 a bottle). The service was good and we had no complaints whatsoever. On top of this we thought the bill for 2 of us (including coffee) was very reasonable at approx. Euros 65 we have paid much more than this in restaurants nearby that were not as good as this. Sad to hear the bad reviews but just wanted to speak up for the restaurant as 2 happy diners! We would definitely come back again.

Came for lunch, service was horrible. It was like we were the bad guys who came to eat. Mixed kebab was like eating old shoe. Dry and tough to eat everything there. Dead food. Never go there

Shocked at some of the reviews!! Come here at least twice a year and have always had a cracking reasonably priced dinner with great service. Never rushed and love it. We always try and get on the balcony to watch the world go by over looking the square below. Will deffo be back!!

Nice but overpriced). Food served in reasonable times but once served you are forgotten. I had steak on the stone, it was delivered on hot plate with chips/salad on a steel bambori. No plate to eat once steak was cooked making it impossible to eat salad or use pepper sauce. No one returned to ask if all was ok, no steak knife, had to go hunt down our own ketchup and eventually call waiter after 20 mins for more drinks and water. Again another 10 minute wait with another reminder. Despite some of it being overpriced €4.50 for melon starter), the food quality was good but the over crowded table due to lack of collecting of kebab stand and hot plate along with absence of service would make it a no-no for me again

Nice place and nice food. Waiters were super kind, we were served fast and also got appetizers for the short wait, on the house. :
