Pierpaolo Sapori Mediterranei - Lagoa

I have been to this part of the Algarve and had eaten here a few years ago so was keen to see what it would be like under it's new management/ownership. I was very pleasantly surprised. The service from the second you walk through the door was Impeccable, friendly but not too intrusive, when you wanted anything there they were in a flash - as if by magic! The prawn starter was superb and I asked for a little break in-between courses, which was not a problem at all. Then I had the rib eye - Wow, the best I have had in a long time. I was hoping that the Oxtail was still on the menu as that was always my favorite but I soon got over that! The Tiramasu desert was excellent, THE best I have ever had and that's saying something. I eat out a lot as my business means a lot of traveling and I can honestly say that this is easily as good as some of the Michelin stared restaurants I have eaten at. If you are in the area don't miss out on this; great atmosphere, great friendly service, lovely decor with the wooden beamed ceilings and cosy surroundings and superb food, nothing was a problem for them. I ate there again twice before flying out and I was only there a week. Excellent work from a team that clearly know what they are doing and how to do it. Well done! "Ill be back!".

We wilden ons te laten verwennen op culinair gebied, en zijn op aanraden van vrienden, die in de Algarve wonen, naar Brasserie Marina te gaan. De ontvangst was zo hartelijk en warm, dat we ons direkt op ons gemak voelden. De couverts waren heerlijk, met een eigengemaakte pasta voor de broodjes en heerlijke olijven.De huiswijn vonden we heel goed.Het hoofdgerecht, de lamschotel en het gevolgelte , waren beiden zeer smaakvol bereid en zagen er heel verzorgd uit. Twee schaaltjes verse groenten, met heerlijke nieuwe, kleine aardappeltjes, kwamen ook op tafel. En wat zo leuk was, we kregen extra borden en bestek, zodat we beiden de gerechten konden proeven. En dan de nagerechten! We hadden gekozen voor het schokolade gerecht en het lemon gerecht. En weer kregen we extra borden en bestek, zodat we beiden de gerechten konden proeven. Ook dit was heerlijk en overvloedig.Het diner hebben we afgeloten met koffie en thee, veel keuze uit verschilende thee smaken.De sfeer was heel ontspannen, en de service uitstekend en we ervaarden dat de samenwerking tussen Claire, Frances en Maria, heel goed was. I was taken here by a veggie Portuguese friend twice over the last two weeks, both times were really good food. They do everything fresh and are very helpful. Just read the previous review and don't understand who the lady owner is!? There was a Scottish lady waiting the tables but the owner is a man and the head waiter, who was lovely is Manuel Joaquin. They were snowed under and so possibly need to get the organisation a little more under control but we had no complaints about the food or service on both our nights.If you are a veggie this is a good option.

This was my first visit in some time, and under the new ownership. The welcome was warm and friendly from Sally and Roy (dad) and the staff were very attentive. I had the prawns Diana that had a perfect balance of flavour and texture, followed by the pork tenderloin with orange and sun dried tomato,the pork was absolutely perfect, tender and full of flavour.The chef is an expert and in my opinion, and selects only the best produce for his dishes. The bar is open in the afternoon for drinks and that's a great place to relax with a glass of something, I will certainly be going again soon .I wish Sally, Roy and joe and the gang all the best. Looking forward to my next visit.

Em relação há ultima visita este restaurante com nova gerência evoluiu muito pela positiva pois o serviço foi óptimo e a qualidade da comida também. O restaurante foi remodelado e está muito mais acolhedor e bonito. Os vinhos servidos há temperatura ideal e o atendimento muito simpático. Adoramos.
