She had driven all the way from Albany to meet me in my house in Dutchesss County, so I chose this special restaurant that believed it would not be disappointed. And sure, they met my expectations. The first thing I want to say is how ingenious our server, Melissa happened and she was extremely attentive and accommodating. It is very difficult to go to many restaurants because a large majority of them use Styrofoam and my girlfriend often has remnants. If I forget my Tupperware containers and we are forced to use Styrofoam, then it makes me very unhappy with a huge phobe of unnecessary waste and non-restorable food containers! Melissa was very understanding and offered to use foil as an alternative when we had remains. The options for New Year's Eve were absolutely horrific and will post the menu on one of the photos. The amount of money for the fixed price menu was definitely worth every penny and I enjoyed the twin lobster as my choice. Meals were very full, but not so filling that we had to take over left at home, so that the film turned out to be unnecessary. Hooray! With my reviews for restaurants, I set the farms to 50% service and 50% food. If both food and service are terrible, the place has no redeeming qualities. But service and courtesy is extremely important considering that I live with Asperger's syndrome and must go to a place where I feel welcome. This was not always the case in restaurants and can tell you horror stories of times when servers have either run away and/or pretend not to hear me, and there was a traumatic experience in another restaurant when the waiter shouted at me because I don't understand how a fixed price menu worked and then made a small note to my mother about her nutritional restrictions. If I write very negative reviews of such places, I usually let the owner know that there are many places that would like to treat me free like poisonous waste, and it is stupid to actually pay money for this abuse. But Carlos Trattoria has both good food and phenomenal service. I can't wait to go back and get my whole family next time!
For the first time. My husband n I was so happy with the food. Absolutely delish! I had cooked the Fruita De Mare n Hubby a steak perfectly. Both dishes were EXCELLENT. We found a new place to eat. It's hard to get a really good meal in the area... always a ****!! Not here. SO SO GOOD!!!
I am review Carlos 4 stars and not 5 just because I take into account all restaurants (like the excellent Le Petit Bistro in Rheinbeck). I've probably eaten hundreds of times here and never had a bad meal. Great value and WAY above average food. Try their daily specials! Also beautiful atmosphere and they serve Voodoo Ranger IPA on tap!!!!!
I've been going to Carlos Trattoria since the first day they opened, and I've always been very happy and happy. The food they serve is not your everyday Italian restaurant menu. It is an experience for your mouth to enjoy and enjoy. My family enjoys the peculiarities that the boss puts on the menu every week that never bores us. The family atmosphere makes you feel at home. If you haven't traveled to Northern Italy? Carlos Trattoria is as close as you can get on a plane without a long flight.
Nice atmosphere, service is very pleasant . The cocktails were $12, but very tasty and worth it. Good size portions. Interesting build your own concept for entrees .
