Shirley's Bagels - Laguna Beach

They have a sign that says ?Quality takes time? and I think it?s perfect because these bagels are worth the wait. Of course if you don?t want to wait you can always order ahead online.

Don?t know what kinda bagel this is but it?s totally not edible. Like charcoal lathered in creme cheese. Burnt to a crisp. Yet- Cold upon pick up. And $5. One of the nastiest things I have ever gotten from a restaurant. I used to like your spot for years- but took this one personally. Can?t do this any more.

Nice variety of bagels, specialty spreads, egg sandwiches and friendly employees to top it off! Indoor seating, a few tables outside, drinks, and the best bagel I?ve had in California. Highly recommend the everything bagel toasted with lox cream cheese. I literally said ?wow? to myself (out loud) when I finished it.

First time here and I love it! If you like bagels you must try them here! Probably my new favorite spot. Specially because of the location. You can grab your bagles to go and find a spot on the beach or with a view of the beach and eat them while you enjoy the sound of the waves and the tranquility of the ocean. (Grab a book and read after, while you are out there ???? No restroom inside the restaurant and no indoor seating available right now but there are three tablesoutside and a bench close by to eat there if you like. (Again just take it to go and have it by the beach parking was available but I can see it being tough to find one during lunch time so beat the rush. Many bagels to choose from but ofcourse I went with the jalapeño cheese. We ordered the California bagel, it gives you a choice of meat and .....you guessed it, I picked bacon. We asked to add Chipotle and it was delicious ???? staff was friendly and helpful. Greatservice. And everything is well organized in case you want to order ahead and just pick up your order quickly and take it to go. Indoor is open for seating and some tables for two are available outside

My spouse and I drove from Sacramento California and were outside at open ready for these bagels. They were a staple when we lived in laguna and are well worth the trip back down to SoCal. The store is always polite, and sweet. Sometimes a wait but always worth the wait if you order right. Highly recommend the juice and toasted muffins along with any bagel sandwich.
