Polly's Pies Bakery - Laguna Hills

It's not everything I hoped it would be. I'm from Georgia, and we tend to prefer our food on the sweeter side! Haha. I tried several times to sample different cakes, but I couldn't find any available due to the limited selection. The staff is friendly, and the service is excellent. The restaurant itself is clean and nicely decorated. It's just not quite my taste.

I was hoping for a bit more variety on the menu, but since it was our first visit and it was evening, we weren't aware of the breakfast options. We chose to sit outside because the indoor seating was quite cold, but it felt like we were neglected for a while. I ordered the fried chicken dinner with potatoes, which was incredibly tasty, but the portions were on the smaller side and the chicken pieces were quite thin. Still, it was delicious. My daughter had the chicken fingers, and my partner had something else. As we were leaving, the manager came out and surprised us with a complimentary apple cake, which made the wait outside worthwhile. That apple cake was the best I've ever had!

The sausage was cooked poorly and dangerously. The manager assured me that he would inform the kitchen and ensure better cooking in the future. However, the potatoes were quite tender. As for the coffee, it took an astonishing 20 minutes to arrive! It seemed like it was a rough morning for the staff, and I hope that isn’t the norm. I am giving two stars because the manager addressed the mistake honestly and even told me not to pay a cent. He expressed his hope that we would return for a better experience. Although he took some time to come over to us, I can understand that there might have been other customers facing similar issues that day. I’m hoping for a better experience next time. I’ve heard many good things, but today was quite disappointing.

The food was pretty good (the tuna melted), but they were from a lot of choice of cakes. They were also short and so our waiter was stretched slightly thin. I could check the cake supply before I go back, but I like the refurbishment and the updated menu.

Great!Great!Great! I always enjoy my time at Pollys. Well run and great surroundings. I love their devoted, attentive, personnel. The food is never disappointing, and desert is the best weather it be the ice coffe, cinnamon bun, or pie of your choice, (try the peach pie) you will not be disappointed.
