Whistle Stop - Lake

Crew was super friendly and quick with our meals. Wife got COD I got 3 piece chicken meal. Both turned out excellent! Got our ice cream and headed out for our son to run around on the little playground. Nice having a local ice cream stand with good food near by!

The food is great and so are the prices! Fantastic selection of ice cream.Staff is friendly but not exactly knowledgeable.Great location and atmosphere!

I like the whistle stop because it is in our small town of lake where I grew up. I enjoy supporting small businesses. Usually I have a great experience there but this time wasn 't the case. I decided to pick up food for dinner for myself my husband and my daughter it came out to $38 and some change which seemed fair for this day and age, BUT when I received my food I was a little disappointed my daughter ordered cheese fries and the portion was so small and it was almost five bucks! Not to mention when I first walked in I had to stand at the counter for almost 10 minutes because the young lady who took my order was on her cell phone texting. When she finally noticed me she put her phone down and said I am so sorry about that . You should not be on your phone at work especially when customers are present. I love this place but I think the staff need some training on customer service. I am willing to give it another shot of course but I 'm hoping our next experience is a little better. But on the plus side the food we did get was pretty good just not the portions. You should please work on your portion sizes. (And this picture makes it look like there 's more than what they 're actually was)

Prices are outrageous I might as well just go to Dollar General and get a gallon of ice cream and make my own ice cream cone half the time they're out of everything I won't go there again no need I'll spend my summer on a pontoon on a lake with my watermelon
