The glasses were dirty and when we requested new ones, the waiter scrutinized them as if we would try to keep them if he deemed them clean. There was something floating in the cream, so we asked for whole milk instead and for a better attitude. Despite these issues, the food was surprisingly delicious. If it weren't for our hungry kids and limited dining options, we would have left.
Before booking a table at Letterpress, we had heard some negative reviews and were hesitant about our dining experience. Upon our arrival for our 7pm reservation, we were completely ignored at the check-in area, along with other diners, causing frustration. Eventually, a staff member informed us that we could not be seated due to the kitchen being busy with orders, and instructed us to wait elsewhere for roughly 20-25 minutes. The rude and dismissive behavior we encountered was in line with the subpar online reviews of Letterpress. Unwilling to tolerate such treatment or poor service, we decided to dine elsewhere and do not regret our decision. We have no intentions of returning to Letterpress.
The food was served a bit cold. That said, it tasted great. When the server asked how everything was and I shared the feedback, she got very uncomfortable. We ordered dessert, and we were served the wrong one. Again, tasted great, but it was the wrong dish. The server put the bill on the table without asking anything and left. I wish dessert was free as they gave us the wrong one. Quality of food was nice, just an odd experience.
The food at this restaurant was delicious. The ambiance is quiet with soft lighting at the tables. The only downside is that they have a limited selection of cocktails as they do not have a fully stocked bar.
Food was excellent and our sever, Grace was the best!
