Thirsty River - Lake Buena Vista

This bar is located right next to Expedition Everest, and right by the large water show viewing area. It's in an excellent location for you to ride Everest then grab a cocktail and watch the epic disaster that kite tails is. I haven't tried the specialty cocktails as Disney specialty drinks are typically too sweet for me so I can't speak to those, but I can attest to the deliciousness of the Makers Mark and ginger ales that I like to get there. They are delightful. The bartenders are all pretty cool too. 10/10 recommend.

Fast service and I like the pretzels here better than anywhere else in the park

Himalayan Ghost. Easy drinking on this hot and humid day! Light and refreshing. The alcohol content is not a large volume. I would order this again!

Thirsty River in Animal Kingdom is one of our top drink stops. The bartenders are consistently friendly and accommodating, and with a full bar, they can whip up any drink of your choice. The restaurant also offers a great variety of beers, including seasonal options. We highly recommend Thirsty River.

We didn't order any drinks at this restaurant, but we made a quick stop at the Thirsty River Bar and Trek Snacks after exiting Everest so the kids could have lunch. They really liked the large Mickey pretzels they had. It's a convenient and low-key option if you're looking for something easy.
