Bbq West - Lake Charles

Ordered the 2 meat special. Ribs were okay, brisket was dry and tasteless, green beans tasted like they just came out the can, and the rice dressing was bland with big chunks of onion. What a waste of money. Won't be going back there!!

The food was hardly edible, and I was extremely hungry. The BBQ sauce was as watery as my tea. It would take a life-or-death scenario for me to consider eating this again, even if it were free. I rated the food 2 stars because, at least, I was able to swallow it. I'm trying to be honest without being overly harsh, but I want to caution anyone seeking good BBQ.

Wife and I wanted some BBQ and was in lake Charles so we stopped by. Wife ordered the 2 meat with sausage and brisket and I ordered the 3 meat with sausage, brisket and ribs. We both found the sausage casing tough. The ribs were not good at all, had to cut the meat off. We both agreed the brisket was tendered.Was not worth the $38

This was my fourth visit to this restaurant, and the previous three were fantastic. However, something went wrong this time. I ordered the same dish as before—a full rack of ribs. When the food arrived and I started eating, I found the ribs to be tough. I literally had to bite down and pull hard just to get the meat off, which was frustrating. During my last three visits, the ribs were tender and falling off the bone. I'm not sure what happened this time. Even my brother took a piece from my plate and agreed that they were tough. Perhaps it was just an older rack of ribs.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at BBQ West, and it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I entered, I was welcomed by friendly smiles and attentive service. The overall atmosphere felt warm and inviting. Now, let's talk about the food – it was absolutely wonderful! The barbecue was perfectly cooked, boasting just the right amount of smoky flavor. I particularly loved the ribs, which were so tender they fell off the bone. The side dishes were also impressive, especially the peach cobbler. Overall, BBQ West far surpassed my expectations in every aspect. With delicious food, top-notch service, and a welcoming vibe, this place is definitely a must-visit. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their menu!
