I ate there today. Sirloin tips rice and gravy, mustard greens, black eyed peas and cornbread. It was spectacular. Do yourself a favor and go eat the plate lunch. I was able to talk to the owner/chef April. I cant wait to try her entire menu. This lady can cook!
OH. MY. GOODNESS! ????Why can't I give this place 10 stars?!EVERYTHING is incredible. No matter what you choose, you can't go wrong.The oxtail, rice, and gravy was the creamiest and most succulent I've ever had. The yams were sweet and the cabbage was a little spicy but also top tier.Note that the actual address of the restaurant is 2502 Broad St and not the one listed.I am SO sorry Joub's is so far from where I live.
My first oxtails and they did NOT disappoint. Big smiles greeted us at the door and when we let them know we were visiting for the first time they were ready with recommendations and answers to all of our questions. Menu standouts were oxtails, cabbage, and yams. All from scratch by the in-house chef’s and SO SO good. Unassuming, super rich, and delicious.
This place is amazing. Honestly some of the best food I've had. If you go there you will not be disappointed. Try the ox tails!
