Umami Japanese Restaurant Sushi Bar

Outstanding sushi! The fish is fresh and made perfectly. The staff is wonderful and accommodating. The prices are good. The princess roll is my favorite.

Early evening, bellied up to the bar and had a relaxing, delicious dinner. My server, Bryanna, was exceptionally knowledgeable of what Umami had to offer, and hats off to her recommendations. Started with the sashimi tacos and followed with a nice, large selection of sashimi in the chirashi bowl. The sushi chef (Jason? was also superb. The toro is not to be missed. Will be back here again when I am in town.

Authentic sushi chefs, fresh fish, rich earthy tea, generous portions at reasonable prices, and outstanding service make this restaurant a true gem—a bright spot in the midst of countless American fast food spots. It offers a delicious, healthy, and comforting meal that was almost worth the perilous trek across a busy dual carriageway in a town with no sidewalks. Five stars from a traveling Brit in search of great food!
