Ken's -b-que - Lake City

BBQ in Lake City. After reading several reviews, I found they were mostly in agreement. I ordered the BBQ beef sandwich, which came with fries and a drink. My friend opted for the special: a New York strip steak, baked potato, coleslaw, and a drink for just over $13. The beef in my sandwich had a nice smoky flavor, though it wasn't overpowering. However, it was sliced thin like cold cuts and was a bit cold, suggesting it had been prepared the day before. The fries were crispy and tasty, and the iced tea was fresh. The service was decent; our server, Sissy, checked on us twice and even offered refills. It wasn't busy when we arrived right at opening time. Overall, it was satisfactory for the price. I would consider returning, but I’d like to try other local BBQ spots first.

My husband is a huge fan of BBQ, and even though we live in Jacksonville, this place is his absolute favorite. We recently celebrated his birthday there last Friday, and everything was amazing! The ribs, pulled pork, fish, fries, onion rings, and coleslaw were all fantastic, and the service was exceptional.

The service was quick and precise, and the food was equally excellent. Our order was taken and brought to our table in no time. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for delicious homemade barbecue that is reasonably priced with perfectly sized portions.

1. Visit here. Ordering rib and pork flour. It came with garlic bread, 2 pages. I baked beans and Coleslaw. Everything was great. Moist and cooked perfectly. BBQ sauce was of sweet style.. Would definitely go again.

Drove ten hours with Kens on my mind. From Tennessee to visit grandparents in lake city. Dad loved kens as a kid and turned me on. He had a few ribs left over and abit of a bbq pulled pork sandwich and man was it good! Perfect smoke that was not over powering in any way and absolute perfect bite on the ribs! The sauce was amazing as was the garlic bread and slaw! Awesome food!
