Rustic Hog Barbecue - Lake City

Head on over to this charming town of Lake City, and try some authentic BBQ! ? You can see the large smoker yourself in the patio. All of the meals give generous portions of delicious smoked meat.. you can taste the time and effort put into every bite. The homemade sauces and queso are AMAZING too! Our favorite dishes are the Pit Master burger, Dirty Fries, Hog Tater, Mac and cheese, brisket and oh the smoked Turkey is something you have to try- I guarantee you haven’t had Turkey like this! Lastly, the service is wonderful. All of the waitstaff is friendly and helpful. Exceptional in every way! ?Bad news- you will want to come back over and over! ?Dietary restrictions: Great for gluten free!

Probably the best restaurant in Lake City, Michigan! This is exactly what we needed. I have lived here my entire life, and I can see this business bringing more tourism and money into our small and loving town. I ordered the hog tater with brisket, and I got a side of Mac and cheese! Everything was delicious, but personally the brisket was a little dry. I’m sure this isn’t the normal for them, I visited during the 4th of July weekend, and we all know how lake city is during the beginning of July. The service was amazing. I don’t know her name, but she was blonde, and she was the sweetest ever!! Our food came out so fast, I have no idea how they do it. I worked at the Patio on Main, and if you don’t know, it was the restaurant in that building before Rustic Hog. I was a cook, and I know that kitchen. It’s quite inconvenient how far away the fridge is from the cooking area, so I know those cooks are running around, but they’re kicking a !! Amazing job you guys, and I definitely recommend this potato to anyone who visits this place. I love what you’ve done with the decorating inside, it’s beautiful. Thank you guys for an amazing dinner! I will definitely be back and will tell everyone I know how amazing you are! (The zoo bbq is the BEST)

I’m so glad they were able to move into a larger location. My husband, daughter, and I had a great time out side dining. Jennifer our waitress was unbelievable and so nice. Food came out so fast and she brought to-go containers right away because she knew trying to eat and entertain an 1.5 year old is challenging. We are always afraid to go to a restaurant with our daughter but we did not feel like an annoyance at the Rustic Hog with her. Thank you so much!

Very disappointed! The food was sub par and dry. Me and my brother split the rustic sampler and was told that this was plenty to split between two people. This was maybe enough to split between two kids. The server we had was not good either, not attentive and never told us that fries were extra as this was not listed on the menu. The menu is a mess, very hard to read and all over the place. We are extremely dissatisfied and will have a hard time giving this place a second chance.
