Lookout Roadhouse - Lake Elsinore

I was thoroughly impressed with the homemade crusty pies – the American pie, in particular, is the best reason to dine at the Roadhouse. The location offers stunning views of Lake Elsinore while serving comforting American diner food. However, some of the garnishes on the plate weren't fresh, which cost them half a star. Other than that, the food was excellent. Just a heads up, the diner closes before sunset! The outdoor deck seating is worth battling the noise from the highway. The pies truly are amazing!

It's a cozy little restaurant, with about six tables inside and four outside. We wanted to sit on the patio, but there were some issues with wasps. Still, the inside had a lovely cottage-like atmosphere. I think they also have a takeout window at the front. The food was quite good, but the only downside is that there’s no indoor bathroom or sink—only two porta-potties outside, which are just off the highway. The view of the lake from the outside was beautiful! There was one very friendly lady who seemed to be managing everything herself and ran the place like a well-oiled machine. She took the time to explain parts of the menu to us, and her homemade berry pie was incredible—believe me, just try it! Overall, I would definitely return, either with a friend or on a scenic road trip.

The views are stunning! The food and service were exceptional. I've never been inside before, and it's absolutely adorable and serene.

VERY unique and interesting place. The view is amazing and the staff will show you every point of interest you can see. Was there when a glider flew over and will definitely go back to enjoy the atmosphere!

Ride here when it's chilly, to get a bowl of chilli!
