Bobby's Place By The Lake - LAKE GENEVA

Today I walked around Lake Geneva. It's a 26 mile walk. I arrived at Bobby's place for lunch. As I put on my mask I realized I left my wallet in my car in Williams bay. So I got my sister to give me her credit card info thinking this would suffice. The owner told me that they couldn't accept that. I then offered Venmo. Nope. I then asked if I could leave something as collateral and return after my walk to pay. Nope. He is a total dick. F you Bobby.

I'm a long time, full time resident and I'm sorry to say we waited too long to give Bobby's a try. We were pleasantly surprised when we first walked in. Very clean, well organized restaurant/bar with a convenience store in the back. The owner greeted us promptly, took our drink order and handed us menus. Great selection of burgers, wraps, steaks, appetizers and other entrees. I had a burger, my wife had the ruben. The bacon cheeseburger was cooked perfectly, delicious and the bun was fresh. Same with the condiments. My wife said her ruben was the best in the area. I took a bite and fully agreed. We went back for fish fry last Friday. We met the owners 2 sons, good sense of humor and equally friendly. Fish fry was excellent, the clam chowder was incredible! Drink and food prices are very reasonable, especially for this area. We can't wait to go back. Definitely a place we will frequent.

My hubby and I were really disappointed with the fries and tenders. They put a lot of care into the pub burger but everything else was pretty flat. And they charged for sink water.We wanted to walk away with a great experience but it was sub par at best. We will not be back.

My wife and I, who are year-round residents, stopped in one Saturday just to check it out. The guy behind the bar couldn't have been more of an AHole. We weren't greeted. We ordered two beers, and we're never asked another thing. It's amazing people in the service industry think this type of behavior is acceptable. Fall in love with a different local joint.
