Our waitress, who was friendly, informed us that they would take about 40 minutes, and we were okay with that. About 25 minutes later, our pizzas arrived. My wife ordered a veggie deep-dish (but they wouldn’t allow her to substitute olives for tomatoes, which felt a bit stingy considering the small pizza was over $30). I had the Gino's Supreme. Unfortunately, my pizza was lukewarm, undercooked, and the veggies were tiny—around 1/4 inch in size—with very little meat. For the price point of $30, I expected much better quality. Looking back, it was a poor choice for pizza. The hostess was not accommodating, the waitress was helpful, but the overall experience was way too expensive, totaling over $130. Sorry, but I will not be returning.
The waitress was excellent and very helpful. Overall, it was a positive experience.
The deep dish pizza wasn't as deep as I remember it from the past. Also, using cornmeal for the crust was unexpected for me; I'm more accustomed to the classic dough that has been used for ages.
Gino's is always wonderful. But this time it seemed even extra special. I'm glad they put in the extra time and made my deep dish wonderful.
Great pizza. Our server was very kind and attentive. The view of the lake from the window was beautiful
