Cafe 185 - Lake George

We were among the first customers to enjoy the clean dining room and friendly atmosphere, and the food was incredibly fresh. My wife and I had a delightful early breakfast. However, there was an issue with the water supply: there were two service carts that transported items up and down the stairs. I can understand why they would lower the carts down the stairs, but sending empty carts back up—up to 13 levels—happened at least 15 times, which was more than we could tolerate. The owner and the server seemed completely oblivious to our discomfort as we had to wait on the steps while deliveries took place for nearly half an hour. It was very disappointing, and we won’t be returning. To add to our frustration, the bill was also incorrect.

The space is quite small, but seating is quick. The staff is very friendly, and the decoration in the seating area is lovely. I had the Nutella waffle, and it was delicious! Their ice cream is also good.

A true oasis of quality and value! Lake George can be challenging when it comes to finding a good meal at a reasonable price, especially breakfast. Everything from the other tables looked enticing, even the coffee. The food and service were excellent, and I couldn't be happier with my experience! I'm definitely returning for a final visit.
