Contribuisci feedbackI went to this restaurant to meet up with a friend I hadn't seen in months. We sat down and ordered $5 seltzer drinks. The server tried to convince us to order margaritas instead, but we declined and stuck with our original order. After waiting for 10 minutes without our drinks arriving, the server came back and asked if we wanted to place a food order. We gave our order, but then the server returned 10 minutes later to inform us that we couldn't be served any alcohol. When I asked why, the server simply said that the manager had made the decision. Despite not having consumed any alcohol, we were told we couldn't be served. When the manager, Greg, came over, he also insisted that we had already had too much to drink, even though we had not. No explanation was given for the refusal of service, and we ended up waiting for 30 minutes without being served anything. The whole ordeal was witnessed by others in the bar, making me feel embarrassed and humiliated. The unprofessionalism of manager Greg and the staff has left me with no desire to ever return to this Applebee's. I have never felt so unwelcome in a restaurant before. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would.
The worst waitress in the world works at this restaurant, her name is Stephanie. She should not be working as a waitress, not even at a McDonald's drive-thru. The manager is unable to control her behavior and allows her to mistreat customers. Despite screaming racist things at my friends and me, she still had the audacity to ask for a tip after providing terrible service. She is definitely one of the worst waitresses I have ever encountered, and it seems to be a common theme based on other reviews. She spent most of her time chatting with coworkers, leaving us waiting for service until she finally remembered she was at work. I would not return to this restaurant even if they offered me 10 years of free food.
I went to a happy hour with some friends and had a great experience. We got 2 drinks and two large orders of wings for just $22. Fraugrace assisted me and checked my ID, which I appreciated. She made sure I had a non-alcoholic option and made me feel youthful. Her customer service was outstanding and her personality was top-notch. I think Mrs. Grace deserves a raise or promotion in the training department. She treated us like family, which made a big difference in our experience.
I like applebee. but I went there specifically to apply the Irresist-a-Bowls they advertise on TV. I ordered the broccoli mac and cheese bowl. it was delicious, but not what I expected. a bowl of pasta and brokkoli with a few melted cheeses. and the cheeses covered not all pasta. I thought they might have filled it with brothcrumbs or speck. at least I could have done home.
Horrible experience right from the start. Arrived there at 4pm and the place was basically empty. Walked in and waited at the front for almost 5 minutes before someone came to seat us. Told the waiter we were ready to place our order as soon as he came by. He then brought our waters with lemon and I requested a packet of equal when he had a chance. Appetizer came out fairly quick....the boneless chicken was mostly breading and hard, The spinach dip was ice cold, quesidia was luke warm as well as the mozzie sticks. Asked for sour cream for quesidia and was told that is an extra charge. Waiter took back spinach dip to have it heated.....about 10 minutes later food came out, along with the return of the spinach dip and my asian chicken salad had fried chicken when I requested grilled chicken. Took that back to correct it. Still hadn't gotten the equal originally requested when we got our water, so had to get up and walk to the bar to request it again. Manager came over to apologize and offered to take $7.99 off the cost of the $17.99 appetizer and I said REALLY, the entire appetizer was either only luke warm or cold!!! He then decided to remove the entire cost for the appetizer from the bill. I've have been to the Applebees in Miller Place and Farmingville many times and never experienced these issues. Needless to say, that is the first and last time at the Lake Grove location for me.
