Moretti's Pizzeria - Lake in the Hills

Our server was one of best servers we have had in recent years at any restaurant. He worked very hard as we had 10 people including three young children in our party.

Third time dining in here. Server was great this time. Food came out very quick fresh. A bit annoyed by the surcharge for dine in customers, I think it was almost $6. The receipt said the charge can be taken off by request. So are they hoping no one realizes the charge and therefore don’t request it to be taken off? Kind of shady in my opinion.

We had a reservation and were seated promptly. Our group included a baby, and the staff was very accommodating, taking our order quickly and accurately. I have always enjoyed the fillet sliders, and the lemon drop martinis were particularly delicious. Everyone loved their meals, and our server was excellent.

I usually rate Morettis very highly, as we visit often, primarily because I adore their pan-seared salmon with avocado relish—it's both delicious and healthy. However, I've noticed that the quality can vary depending on the day we go. The dish typically includes a generous serving of fresh vegetables along with the salmon, but during our last visit, the portion of vegetables was quite minimal. This was on a Friday night, and I felt it wasn't worth the trouble to request the usual amount. As a result, I left feeling unsatisfied and disappointed. I hope they'll improve their consistency going forward.
