Whitsunday Coast Airport Cafe

My wife and I had breakfast at this café while waiting for our flight to Brisbane. It is extremely pricey for just two coffees and muffins, in excess of $20AUD. Service was slow as well but I suppose when you are the only show in town, you can basically get away with attitude and charging whatever you want.

Very polite and speedy service under extreme pressure. The staff are extremely polite and professional and will go out of their way to accommodate differing tastes, The food always fresh and hygiene is of top standard.

I don't understand this airport... It's so far from everywhere... You land and have to pay 20$ for a shuttle into the city. Why wouldn't more airlines directly fly to airlie. It's a small airport and they keep it nice and clean and friendly staff

Standard airport cafe; nothing special, higher than normal prices, less than friendly service, convenient.

When you have no competition you can charge above normal. This is ok and somewhat expected at an airport but it would be nice to provide a reasonable level of service. As suggested by other TA reviewers, grab something to eat before you head out to the airport.
