We had the service dog of my wife and welcomed her with open arms, although she is only eight months old and still in training, but is certified. It cost our time there. You've been there and always excellent. Recognizing (and shield says to be friendly) can take a little longer, but maybe why so good. Highly recommend and appreciate their divine atmosphere.
My friend and I came in for breakfast and wow the food and service is so good. It?s a small diner with a cozy atmosphere. The pancake is so fluffy and the bacon is the perfect level of crispiness. Definitely worth checking out if you?re visiting lake lure!
Wow.. The Man I decided a little time off was in order. Covid threw us and so many others around our great state for a loop that just going to the grocery store was an anxious exercise. Starting slow, we chose to see mountains rather than beach. We found an place for breakfast on the other side of the Lake Lure called the Victory Kitchen. This place is just what you want if you are looking for a slow and easy good food type joint. Where most places might cram as many tables as possible to maximize their profit potential nothing wrong with that until someone slides by your table and puts their purse in your soup), this place only has about 10 tables in a mixed variety of two and four toppers. There is plenty of space between each table which is great because you might not be interested in the couple in the next table trying not to fight over why the light bill wasn?t paid or their opinions shouted into a cell phone. The wide walkways allow for the only waitress to run her tuchus off for everyone there. I honestly didn?t see anyone else but this lady I feel bad for not getting her name) was top shelf. Our food was hot when it came out.. The waitress was on her game, getting everyone watered, coffeed, what have you?I think she was even clearing and cleaning the tables too. Just everywhere like a manic bumblebee. Not complaining! The food.. OMG.. I got the pancakes with a side of bacon. Pancakes are basically oversized biscuits when you really think about it. A little flour, buttermilk, butter and a hot griddle. There is something extra in the mix there. Its not just the fact that there is powered sugar sprinkled on top. The cakes are light and fluffy. I don?t want to say that there was a funnel cake taste but it was really good and worth the stop in you are in the area. There seems to be a lot going on at the property. A travel couch park, veggie stand, a breakfast/lunch place. I didn?t check out the veggie stand being as its spring and not much in ready in this zone yet. But worth it later in the year.
This is one of the best breakfast places I've EVER been to. I believe our waitress name was Charlene and she was extremely friendly and the service was amazing. Food prices are very reasonable but the quality was outstanding. Like the sign inside says, they are not a fast food place and that's a very good thing. If you come here for a relaxing breakfast, it's 110% worth it. Wish I lived in this area so I could come back more.
Very cute and quaint local place. Very friendly staff, enjoyed it very much. Biscuits were fresh, sausage gravy was good too. But remember two things... #1 breakfast service stops at 1030am. and they don't serve anything else until 11am. And #2 you are in the south and everything is slow. I don't say this to be critical, you just need to know to expect this everywhere. But definitely visit this locally owned, popular w locals, Christian based and yummy spot. Thank you ladies!!!!
