I wanted pot roast which is why it came up on my search and I wasn't disappointed. The beef was tender and the gravy excellent. The fried chicken was crispy and flavorful. The creamed chicken paired well with the fresh made mashed potatoes. I tried to take a taste of as many things as possible but there were so many choices. There was a well stocked salad bar, as well as a variety of cold pasta dishes. While everything I tasted was well cooked and flavorful, I want to highlight a few things: cheese, garlic biscuit bites (amazing!! ;fresh baked yeast rolls (so tender and feel free to use the REAL butter for them and last and best was the corn casserole (not to be confused with their corn bread I had two helpings of that!! The all you can eat option included baked sweet potato, three kinds of hot beans, boiled cabbage, mustard or collard greens that weren't bitter, fried green tomatoes and okra. I may be missing a few items but that will be a great surprise for you. Of there was anything negative it would be that this Pepsi drinker saw all Coke Products I wasn't surprised that the sweet tea was excellent! I didn't leave room for it but I tasted a piece of red velvet cake with an interesting icing. I had no room for the other cakes, pies or banana pudding. This was like going to visit Grandma, southern grandma. Complete with a sink to wash your hands!! Loved this place!! I'm sad I live too far away to eat breakfast.
Servers were fast and friendly, large selection of Southern Comfort foods, soups, salad, and deserts. The restaurant was overall rather clean, however, by the end of the hour we were they, our table was surrounded by un-bussed tables. It was a little surprising, to see that many uncleaned tables with napkins and silverware on the floor. I'd like to think it was just a temporary hiccup in process. We will definitely return, and their breakfast seems to be an amazing deal.
Wow! This Southern buffet restaurant was incredibly tasty and authentic! We went for dinner one night, and went back the next morning for breakfast. It was yummy, and the entire staff was incredibly friendly.
By far one of the best country style buffets I've been too this side of the Mississippi. Anything from fried chicken to corn casserole. If your mama cooked it they got it. Service is always great and they give 25% off for active duty or uniformed officers and 15 for veterans.
Buffets often receive a lot of criticism, and it's understandable why. They usually provide a large variety of food at reasonable prices, but the quality often falls just above questionable. I've always believed that a high-quality Vegas-style buffet could thrive in Orlando—one featuring expertly carved meats and live chef stations with tempting side dishes like those at the Bellagio. While Fred’s Market isn't quite at that standard, it does deliver decent quality in what it offers.
