Bitter Tom's Distillery - Lake Orion

We visited on a Sunday around 12:30 PM and were pleasantly surprised by the cool vibe of the place and the ambiance of the outdoor seating. The cocktail menu was extensive; my husband chose the bourbon blueberry drink that the server mentioned was the special, and he enjoyed it. I ordered the **** Mary, which unfortunately did not live up to expectations. It tasted like a tall glass of pure Taco Bell sauce, and after years of ordering these drinks, I can confidently say this was the worst one I've had. I tried to push through it, but it was simply undrinkable. The server, who appeared to be young and new, was very apologetic. I switched to a sparkling white wine instead, which was delightful. She mentioned that the **** Mary had one of the highest return rates, and I can understand why—yikes! My husband ordered the steak frites and truffle fries, which were both excellent. I chose the maple-glazed salmon, but sadly it was not good; it was extremely charred and had no discernible glaze, just a taste of very burnt salmon. Despite the setbacks, we would definitely consider returning, as we enjoyed the atmosphere and my husband's dishes were quite good overall.

The cocktails and food were absolutely delicious. I really enjoyed the soothing sound of the water flowing outside. Our server, Hannah, was incredible! I will definitely return!

The portion of the sandwich that wasn't burnt was quite good for takeout. However, I was disappointed when I took a bite and it had a burnt taste, as the rest of the sandwich was overcooked and tasted like charcoal.

The service was fabulous. The atmosphere was great. The food was questionable. The feta and spinach dip is amazing. But who on earth puts raw brussel sprouts and kale on a taco. I was caught off guard to say the least ?

Great restaurant with an awesome selection of drinks coupled with some yummy food. Wonderful spot to meet up with friends and enjoy some time together!
