Kyra's Bake Shop - Lake Oswego

The barista I just encountered here was so rude that I left without the $7 coffee I paid for. I ordered a latte and they placed a lukewarm cup with flat milk on the counter. The top had zero froth and the drink was not hot. I nicely asked them to remake it and they rolled their eyes and gave me a dirty look. I said well it’s not hot and there is no froth on the top. They said that’s a cappuccino, and I said I am aware of the difference but when you steam milk properly there should still be some froth on the top. They proceeded to berate me while they remade my drink that I needed to order a cappuccino instead of latte “in the future” because I didn’t know the difference. I told them their comment was rude that all I asked for was a remake of an improperly made latte. They then said I didn’t know what I was talking about and actually asked if I had been a barista before. The level of rude behavior from this person was next level. I have been drinking lattes for 25 years and know when they are not made properly. It can be mediocre and I’ll drink it, but this wasn’t even a latte. They were so rude about how I didn’t know what a latte was I just left without the coffee I paid for. I am not sure why an employee of a business thinks it’s ok to be absolutely awful to a customer who has a reasonable request about a coffee drink. I will never give kyras business again. Also attaching photos of a few LATTES that clearly have froth on the top, you know. How they’re made.

I love Kyra’s Bake Shop I think they have mastered some great treats along with meal items. I’m hoping that they will eventually start making sugar free gluten free options in the future

This place makes excellent gluten free items. I come here at least once a year to buy a dessert/cake for my sister in law’s birthday who can’t eat gluten or dairy. They always have a new delicious cake that I can buy and it has always been amazing. I am a repeat customer and will continue to be.

They always have such great pastries, but the cinnamon rolls weren't all that good today. they used to be soft, gooey, and you could taste the cinnamon. today, they were really dense and tasted more like bread. cupcakes were good though.

My fiancé and I had a blast as they made our wedding cake tasting appointment such a fun experience! I cannot thank Kyra enough for helping us find the wedding cake of our dreams that worked with our budget. Kyra was incredibly fast to reply and answered all our questions and reworked several options for us to choose from to make our cake everything we wanted and more. We absolutely loved how kind the staff were and the cake shooters were amazing. Get your wedding cake here! You will not regret it!! Thank you so much Kyra!! We cannot wait to see our cake on our big day!!
