Manoa Shave Ice - Lake Oswego

During our recent vacation in Lake Oswego, we stumbled upon Manoa Shave Ice. Upon entering, we were greeted with friendly smiles and a traditional Hawaiian "howzit" from Lesley and Keoki Landreth. As we chatted, Lesley served up her famous shaved ice with hospitality and I discovered that they were from Huelani Street in Manoa, Honolulu. After realizing we had mutual connections, we discussed their meeting at Villa Paradisio in Waikiki and even discovered a link to my son who had worked there before. It was a surprising coincidence to meet such delightful individuals from Honolulu in Lake Oswego, over 2700 miles away. The shaved ice was delicious, made with Lesley's own crafted syrup. Unfortunately, the restaurant is closing at the end of the month as they transition to a mobile shave ice truck.

I had a great experience at this restaurant! If you're craving authentic Hawaiian shaved ice, this is the place to go. Both my daughter and I loved our treats and are already planning our next visit.

When: Sun July 31st, 3:30 pm For Hawaii Transplants living in the Willamette Valley and craving for those North Shore of Oahu Shave Ice shops, Manoa Shave Ice fits the bill... This was our first time here, at this Lake Oswego shop. To us, the menu here was very simplified and easy to order. But for 1st timers here, the task can be daunting, especially with kids in tow, take a look at the MENU in the picture sections, as to not hold up the Kamaaina 's or repeat customers... On this occasion, I ordered the touristy Rainbow Flavored Shave Ice, while my wife showed her East Honolulu upbringing by ordering the Strawberry Pineapple flavored Shave Ice with Li Hing Mui powder and Mochi Balls...Both items were on point and definitely perfect on a hot summer afternoon...

I went for the first time and this shave ice is a great way to cool off, along with yummy flavors.

Delicious shaved ice! The woman at the counter was so friendly and helpful explaining the menu and flavors lots of all natural flavors to choose from.
