Big Z's At Lake Placid Lanes

Was outrageously expensive $79 for 3 people to play for one hour which amounted to 2.5 games). I hadnt been here since it was bowlwinkles which was both more fun and more affordable. I'm editing this to add in response to the owners reply that while they may feel it's comparable to elsewhere, the 3 of us bowled at the alley in Tupper Lake for almost 3 hours this past weekend on a Saturday and it was only $42 total, shoes included. They also had music, a big arcade area and an entire sports bar section as well and it was half the price for 3 times the length of game play so I don't know.

Had a good time tonight at Big Z’s. We wanted a casual dinner and got so much more. The food came out quick and hot. Rob’s spicy chicken was money. So good! I had a special, brisket Mac and cheese. And…there is plenty to keep the family busy. Video games, Connect 4, Jenga, pool, and so much more. Really was a great experience.

Great atmosphere in here. Bar is great, even if you're sober

The fireplace outside was cool The guy at the reception desk did not seem interested to answer/help with any questions. The bartender on the band stage side was repulsive and rude. She was drinking before serving patrons, took forever to make drinks, offered me a shot and then when I went to reach for it yanked it back, threw dirty looks and said what are you doing this is mine!! And proceeded to drink it.

My friends and I ventured into Big Z's this past Saturday and it did not disappoint! The place has it all from the bowling lanes, to pool and other bar games, to live music and TVs there is family fun for everyone! There is ample amount of space and seating and we never had to wait long for a drink at the bar (espresso martinis did not disappoint). The staff was very friendly and welcoming they were able to handle our rowdy friend group with ease. Food was great definitely should try out the pimento cheese balls with hot honey or the turkey club! The owners have really done an incredible job with this place and this is a great addition/upgrade to town! Highly recommend to anyone who is visiting town!
