Sugar Sand Distillery - LAKE PLACID

What an amazing experience! We visited on a night when we utilized “Harvest Host” accommodations. Our host, Dori, was fantastic; she truly made our stay worthwhile. Thank you for the unexpected yet delightful afternoon and morning!

During our first visit to the seaside area, we had a wonderful experience. We stopped by a farm that cultivates its own sugar cane and distills it on-site into vodka, rum, gin, and liqueurs. April and Dori were fantastic, explaining all the various products we sampled during the tasting session. We ended up purchasing the lemon vodka and are eager to return for live music on a Saturday night.

Our drinks were refreshing and absolutely delicious. The servers were friendly, knowledgeable, and had vibrant personalities that made our experience enjoyable.

We came on our trip to plan our retirement. Cindy welcomed us for a tasting. She was funny and knowledgeable. We had a great time. We loved everything we tried and bought some rum to bring back. Can't wait to come back and hear the bands and try the food. Very nice location in Lake Placid.

One of a kind Distillery, Their Spirits are made from real cane sugar, I recommend a tasting. I found my Lemon Vodka to have a full body of flavor, fresh and light. The Apple shine is like drinking an apple pie. Saturday is a live band.
