The Lodge was closed for the season and they hadnât taken down the ability to make reservations. Highly frustrated!
This was not the Lost Lake Lodge dining weâve enjoyed in the past. Food was just okay, over-priced and the restaurant is just open Fri/Sat evenings. I doubt they can make this model work without substantially improving the quality of the menu. If we return next year to stay in a cabin, weâll skip the dining unless they make major changes to win us back. We used to love the food when it was part of the lodging fee.
A cozy environment that never fails to deliver amazing food. My steak was prepared perfectly and my husbands lamb burger was even better than we knew it would be. We will continue to come back for more great meals!
This was our first time dining at Lost Lake Lodge even though we have been coming to the area for years. We were disappointed. The menu printed on the website and given to us at the table was not accurate. The wine I chose from New Zealand on the menu was not available. A California wine was offered in its place. The entreesâ were not served with the sides listed on the menu. A mixed vegetable medley was served in place of asparagus. The augratin potatoes tasted like warmed up leftovers. No salad was included and bread had to be requested even though a four course dining experience is touted. The prices charged and the fare served is a mismatch. Our waiter was most gracious and very helpful. We liked him. The immediate entrance to the lodge is not well maintained or inviting. The grounds around the cabins at the entrance are unsightly cluttered with âstuffâ. There were no flowers. A full sized canoe planter was full of weeds. This establishment needs some severe cleaning up.
