Blue Lake Eatery - Lake Tekapo

This restaurant is one of the best in the area. The staff is attentive and wonderful. The food is carefully prepared and delicious, showing a true passion for cooking. We tried the buffalo cauliflower, which was perfectly seasoned. The duck breast was tender and went well with the parsnip puree, and the lamb shank was incredibly tender. Overall, it was an amazing dinner experience, and the drinks were also excellent. The attached bar is a cozy spot for a warm drink.

My partner and I stumbled upon this restaurant randomly and we were pleasantly surprised! The service was outstanding, with helpful recommendations and friendly staff throughout the evening. The food was exceptional and the timing between our appetizers and main courses was just right, allowing for a nice break. I highly recommend trying the share platter as it offers a variety of flavors. The drinks menu was extensive and the unique cocktails they crafted were delicious. Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others visiting Lake Tekapo as it was a fantastic dining experience.

I stumbled upon this restaurant and it was truly an incredible find! A group of us decided to order some sharing platters, which turned out to be very reasonably priced. We enjoyed a large lamb shank, a slice of venison, and a whole stuffed squid. The sides were also beautifully presented and everything was cooked perfectly by the chef. Overall, it was a fantastic meal and I would definitely suggest checking out this place.

Had an exceptional dinner here with my partner. Cannot fault the service, staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable. The food was spectacular, we started with the Zangi chicken juicy inside, crunchy exterior with a tasty sauce, and the Soup of the Day a tomato based seafood soup, the flavour in the base was well rounded and the seafood was perfect. Had the share platter, which is a must if you can't make your mind up like us! Three well portioned dishes in the one; lamb shank, venison, and salmon. Topped it all off with some incredible cocktails and finished with a shared dessert dish unlike anything I've tried before. Highly recommend a stop if you are visiting Lake Tekapo.

The food was great! The starter and main course were excellent and the portions were perfect too! Our wine was also delicious and the perfect temperature. The service was friendly despite the place being very full. Thank you very much! However, it is obvious that more staff is needed.
