Kobe Steakhouse Sushi - Lake Worth

We were traveling and our kids wanted to find good sushi. There were 6 in our party and we were seated right away on a Friday night.Our chef was one of the best we've ever experienced at a hibachi grill, very entertaining to all ages.The food was cooked exactly as we ordered and so delicious.We had two sushi rolls that were very fresh.Others at our grill expressed this is their favorite local place. Definitely a hidden gem.

While the location doesn't look ideal, don't judge this book by its cover. When you walk in, you instantly forget where you're at. Hibachi, Sushi Bar, or booth/table you can sit wherever you'd like. I came for the lunch special and got the largest fish portion which is their Sashimi Nigiri Combo. Honestly I usually can eat quite a bit of fish but after scarfing this down I was completely full. While the fish was room temperature, it was soft delicate when consuming. I believe based on experience alone this is a very nice place to be. The radio is turned up a bit much but other than that everything tasted great.

Food was good! Price about the same as anywhere else. Chef started out really good and interactive with us, but then stopped and just went straight to cooking. Maybe he got tired?

Sushi was good. The place is dated and the hibachi was minimal in show. We order Coppola wine and they brought us another brand and said it was Coppola. So, I would say the wait staff was just going through the motions. Quality of food was good.

I'm new to the area and drive past this location often, so we decided to give it a try. After we were seated, I was no longer looking forward to my meal as it was clear the place hadn't been properly cleaned/ dusted in over a year. The areas that had decor (well within my reach) and the walls were full of dust- literal balls of dust! I would've preferred to leave at that point, but stuck it out with my husband. The sushi rolls were mediocre at best. Everything within the rolls was room temperature and the seaweed was chewy. Definitely not worth the $90 we spent. Our waiter was great, hence the reason for the two star review. I love sushi, but we won't won't be back.
