Il Forno Italian - Lakeland

We had an early dinner tonight to celebrate our 35th anniversary, and it was wonderful! The service provided by Kiley (I hope I've got your name right!) was outstanding, and the food was absolutely delicious. A big shout-out to the entire team—you truly exceeded our expectations! Thank you, David H, for the delightful dessert surprise! It was the perfect finishing touch! We’ll definitely be back!

My mom absolutely loved it; they surprised her with a rose since it was Mother's Day. The food looked great, and both my mom (who had the lasagna) and my brother (who chose the stromboli) really enjoyed their meals. Personally, I wasn't a huge fan of the meat in the lasagna, but I thought the cheese was fantastic. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. Overall, we had a lovely time, and I'm happy my mom had such a positive experience. I would definitely recommend this place!

I had a craving for Italian food, so we decided to have dinner on a Sunday night. We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio with our dog, and our server was both friendly and efficient. We started with an antipasto platter accompanied by garlic knots. The antipasto was fresh and tasty, and we really enjoyed the variety of meat rolls on our plate—it made sharing easy. The dressing was packed with flavor. For my main dish, I ordered the lasagna, which completely satisfied my craving for something cheesy and saucy. I haven’t seen many pictures of the lasagna online, but don’t overlook it; it’s delicious! My boyfriend ordered a meat calzone with hot peppers, and it was equally excellent. We had plenty of leftovers to take home with us.

Sat on the patio. Very clean. Nice atmosphere with the string lights overhead. Pizza was amazing. Fresh ingredients. Not oily. Garlic knots were great and the dipping sauce was a wonderful compliment to them. Had tiramisu for dessert and it wrapped up the night perfectly. It was fresh and house-made. Wonderfully delightful staff. Felt very welcome here. Brought home pizza for leftovers and it was great even the next day. 10/10 will be returning with the rest of the family!

I don't know how I feel about Il Forno. Date night with Bar. We ordered fried zucchini and pasta e fagioli as an appetizer. The zucchini was AMAZING.... probably best I've had. The pasta e fagioli was average at best. There was no meat and the taste was rather bland. Main dishes were lasagna and an eggplant parmigiana panini. Eggplant parmigiana panini was over cooked and burned...I was unable to eat it. .... I ate his lasagna and it was DELICIOUS. JULIET was our server and she was sweet, attentive and efficient. The restaurant was very clean. Service was fast and friendly. Our water tasted good. Lastly we ordered tiramisu that was made in house. After the best first bite, we decided to take the rest home to enjoy with coffee. . ....at home to our dismay, we found a rather long blonde hair in it. (we are both brunettes). Literally broke my heart. Needless to say, it was not the best food day, but everything else was so good. ... We will be back to try again. Wish us luck.
