Contribuisci feedbackComing from a Lakeland’er whom has been eating here off and on for years, I had really almost given up on them based on my experience prior to last nights visit. I was craving steak last night so since they had just recently reopened their doors since having been closed down for a while due to a fire mishap, I decided to give them another try for old times sake in the hopes that they came back strong. It was a long wait to be seated I forgot Sun Fun was going on so lots of out of towner’s visiting …We had to ask for our table to be cleaned before we sat down and the water glasses were not clean but we stuck it out due to I had visited the restroom and it was pretty clean for me that’s kind of a tell tell sign if a restaurant cares anything at all about cleanliness . Once the appetizer and drinks came, I started to feel better about the situation The Watermelon infused vodka drink was REALLY GOOD as well as the appetizer . I ordered the bone- in filet mignon which was cooked EXACTLY AS I ORDER medium well but I really should have ordered it medium however it was REALLY GOOD…I added on what was supposed to be blacken shrimp scampi but there was nothing blackened about them and the scampi seemed a bit watery to me. Lastly, there were several dirty tables with food, dishes and glasses that were left sitting for a while and also food items that had been dropped on the floor, I personally don’t like that in my view when I’m eating. The price increase of the dishes I think is overpriced…I know everything has gone up but I think the increase is more than their cost was probably increased. They could definitely do better in a lot of areas but I did enjoy that Steak.
One day I was doing Uber and I drove one of the Managers to this place. I remember he gave me a business card. Like a year after that I visit the place with my husband and son. We were celebrating my husband's birthday that happened on Nov. 2020. Customer Service excellent, food delicious, we had some steak, gator bites, shrimps, They have birthday discount it has to be the same day otherwise doesn't apply. We have a very good family time.
Service was lacking. Table of 8 only got one basket of bread even though we asked for more. We got some to go when we were leaving. Drinks were not refreshed but once and we were there for 2 plus hours. One of our party didn't get his steak with his asparagus and baked potato... finally someone came over and said that the chef wasn't satisfied with the steak he had cooked so he was cooking another. When they finally brought his steak out it wasn't cooked right. He asked for med well and it was very red. So they actually took back and probably nuked it. It was then dry and ruined. Fillet mignon should never be dry. They should have just comped him. But he didn't say anything to them. Sure he won't be going back. For the $100 plus dollars each of us spent...we expected better. Maybe it was an off night? Company was good and the rest of us enjoyed our steaks. But everyone at the table should have had a phenomenal meal. Don't you think?
Matt the manager, Jeff our server, and food was the best in all my years. Jeff was never hurried to serve someone else. Had plenty of servers for all customers. Such a pleasant experience. Thank you for a great birthday dinner.
Throughout the USA, there are a ton of steakhouses different styles and presentations. So what make The Texas Cattle Company shine? For starters, let's look at the stars of the show... the entrees. From seafood to the steaks, they are masterfully seasoned. The seasoning does not overpower the meals but enhance the natural flavors. The steaks are smoked with citrus and oak blends, leaving a superb flavor throughout the entire cut. What makes this an experience however is the service. Both times they have been superb, and Crystal is on point. Friendly, knowledgeable, aware, and attentive. I love food, have a passion for it and she was able to answer any curious questions I had. From the types of mushrooms and their source, to the flavor cognac left on escargot. She made this a wonderful experience.
