They were able to deliver some pastries to my mom's house before she had to go to work. They were very fast, efficient, and courteous getting back with me and making it right for my mom's birthday. Well done. Highly disappointed in The Market. On their website, it said they open at 8am but I gotthere and saw the sign saying they open at 10am. Not a problem, I was wanting a pastry for my mom for her birthday today but it could be done for brunch and I understand that there are a lot businesses that are adjusting their hours due toCovid. I come back at 10:30 and they are STILL not open but there are 2 cars out front. So I try calling them MULTIPLE times to see what is going on with their hours. Not even a voicemail would pick up and it hung up on me every time. Iwould have loved for this to be my next local dessert bakery but sadly, it would seem they cannot seem to run their store in accordance with their own hours that were posted, nor could they answer their phone. Highly disappointed and theyruined birthday plans for my mother as she has to work this afternoon and this was the only time anything could be picked up.
My absolute favorite place to eat in Lakeland. The restaurant has always had amazing food. The owners are so friendly, so caring, and so talented when it comes to making food. The marketplace has super friendly staff. Always has some good stuff to eat including desserts and to go items from the menu. I will always recommend this place.
We both had the chicken kebab plate at $16. many chicken breast pieces perfectly cooked and does not define like one of the negative reviews black. it came with pita, hummus, carrot salad, rice and brussel sprouts. we had a chocolate boklava that came out with a puppenpulp of whipped cream. they were $2 ea like the icy. with control and a 15% tipp was the bill $49 change. yes, they order at the counter, and the food is brought to them in a containerized box, but it came with real cutlery. it was delicious and we will definitely return. we had visited several years before they were extended to the new building. disabled parking is located in the center of the property, not near the door, as you might expect. the food was cooked to order, hot delicious.
It's a solid spot with fresh food! The lady at the counter must've been overwhelmed at the time of my visit because she got my order wrong. I had asked for the feta rolls and got some thing with eggplant that was bitter so it just wasn't what I was expecting or hoping for but still OK, nonetheless. They also don't have Wi-Fi and it just seemed like the cutest spot to sit and work so at least I know for next time it's a great lunch but but make sure she repeats the order to you upfront and don't expect to prop up your laptop. I do still want to try my original dish but maybe next time.
The staff was gracious and very polite. The soup, meals and dessert was quite delicious. Looking forward to going back again.
