Village Inn - Lakeland

First time my husband and I ate there. Turkey dinner was very tasty/nice size portion/reasonably priced. We will definitely be returning and trying out some other tasty looking items on the menu. Place is clean. Pleasant employees. Our waiter Wendall was very attentive.

The bestest. Took my daughter and a group of her friends for their homecoming dinner. They loved it, especially the French silk pie.

Chicken fried steak wasn't bad. But their mashed potatoes tasted like Instant Potatoes. If I ever go back have to remember not to order them. If a restaurant is going to advertise as home cooking, instant potatoes are not. Some ways I felt rushed as soon as the waiter brought the food, the check was on the table. As you can see.

Great food and great pie! They have messed up to go orders twice, but they fixed it with no trouble. Well worth the price and always free Pie Wednesdays!

The waitress was wonderful. The food not so much. Should of realized when only three other tables had someone sitting around 11:00 and less closer to 12:00 noon. I ordered the pick 4 for breakfast food. Eggs hash browns biscuit and gravy and 1/4 lb. hamburger patty. When the food arrived the burger was a joke. It was about 1/16 of the size advertised. I asked for another one and it was the same size only a little thicker. When we cashed out I asked about it and was told that was the size. WHAT!!!! Won't be back there. All most forgot. No flavor!
