Esplanade Cafe - LAKES ENTRANCE

We had a lovely evening walking along the water from our hotel to the pub. Although it was busy, the wait was worth it for the large evening.

This café is centrally located and provides a great variety of food options for families with children. The menu is high quality and affordable, with excellent service.

Even though I only purchased a coffee, I found the cup to be generously sized and the coffee itself was deliciously bold and well-made. The service was quick and friendly, and the interior of the restaurant was quite pleasant.

Special seafood pasta was very good, grilled fish was good chips were ok. lemon lime and bitter had to be restored. small selection for every meal.

Went to the Esplanade Cafe for dinner. Menu is casual with steaks, fish, chicken and the like. We ordered starters and they came first before the drinks not a great start. To add to the problems, the coffee was slightly spilled onto the napkin...sandwiched between the cup and saucer, rendering the napkin useless. Also a Fanta we ordered came with no straw something which is almost always included without having to ask for one wherever you go to order a soft drink. When our meals arrived we found that none of the salads we ordered came with any dressing. Almost all salads have salad dressing or at least a bottle of salad dressing on the table. We found the steak was very dry and not juicy at all. The chicken was slightly under cooked. When we saw the bill it definitely was not the value for money. The meat should've had sauce, not to pay extra for it. Although the appearance of the cafe looks warming, do not be fooled by it's looks. I recommend eating at one of the other better restaurants around.
