Col'cacchio Westlake - Lakeside

Pineing for Pizza...<br/ <br/ We visited Col’Cacchio in Westlake on Tuesday 17th April 2018. We arrived there about 20:30 and, even though it was almost empty and the staff were already packing away, we were warmly welcomed by the manager and served straight away. It is unusual in the outlying areas of Cape Town to find a restaurant that is open a little later (seems most people eat around 7 as our schedules only allow us to get out after 8. The photos all look a bit red, but that's from the cosy heaters in the spacious, covered outside area.<br/ <br/ Eugene is a particularly good waiter immediately offered Raffa a bowl of fresh water and was very friendly. Our food arrived promptly and we've found it consistently good at this restaurant. We had the Zucca Vegan pizza with added balsamic<br/ glaze, a Carpe Fungi pizza and a bambini Esotica pizza Raffa's favourite! Though he donated his pineapple to Mom Dad!<br/ <br/ Next time we’re going to bring all our doggies! They also have a great loyalty rewards system. Will continue to return often. :

Col'Cacchio is the original gourmet pizza outlet, but competition is stiff these days and my experience differs from visit to visit. Sometimes the pizzas are better than others. I find them quite heavy and the ingredients sometimes don't taste as fresh as they could be. While the Monday night two for one pizza special is good value, prices are still quite high. What I can say about this outlet is that we've had consistently good, friendly service. Our nephews were in town and it was also my in laws' anniversary and the waiter went out of his way to make the meal special on both counts.

Went on Saturday to watch the Springbok game. They gave us a great table close to the tv. Had a cool waiter, Tafadzwa. I ordered the cauliflower base Nacho Libre pizza and it was pretty good! Will definitely be back :

Had a family lunch gathering here on a Sunday afternoon and it was lovely to sit in the 'outside ' area. I had the half half pizza deal and it was great.The thin bases are definitely a winner and the toppings are plentiful and very tasty. For dessert I had a coffee milkshake that was superb super thick and creamy!Waiter was friendly and very efficient. Prices are more then average. Overall a very pleasant lunch experience.

Great Pizza's and Excellent Service.Wide variety of vegetarian and vegan options.The location is real pretty and sets just the right tone.
