Libby's Neighborhood Brasserie

The food is really good but on two different occasions the service was extremely poor. This evening in particular. I stood at the door to be seated and no one came towards me or acknowledged my presence. I was forced to find someone to help me. This was at 8:30pm and a half hour until closing. I decided to take the order to go and I purchased a bottled water and asked that they bring it to me while I was waiting. I also tipped on a to go order. The young lady who took my order returned and just handed me the glass bottle. I asked for a glass because I was going to sit down and drink it while I was waiting. She insisted I couldn’t have a glass because it was a to go order and I told her I’d be sitting here waiting and would prefer a glass. She brought me a to go styrofoam cup. I said again I’d like a glass while I sat there and waited for the food. She turned as if I asked her to borrow her car or something and stormed off. Came back with a glass and I thanked her. She then stormed off again without a you’re welcome . I get it, maybe she was having a bad night and was tired but I came to the restaurant hungry and was made to feel like I was a bother. I went back to the desk where I ordered and asked to cancel my order and refund my card. Some gentlemen, I’m assuming the manager asked what the problem was and I explained. He then told the kitchen to cancel the order and once again was equally as rude as the young lady. I was polite, patient and accepting they were tired and cranky. I told them I was shocked and said what if I was a food critic. They didn’t care. So the food is quite good but tonight forever ruined it for me.

Been here many times for brunch on the weekends. Normally would be 5 stars all around but today as soon as we were done eating our waiter was done..as well as the bottomless mimosas which are normally served well after. He was on the spot the entire time but as soon as out plates were taken away he did not come back. Usually we can sit and linger with no rush and enjoy ourselves but today we were rushed out of there even though it was no longer busy, the Sunday rush was well over. You don’t get the tip you deserve when you’re customers are still waiting for the service we have always known from this restaurant.

The food is consistently good. Azziz is by far the best server. He anticipates your needs, is so responsive . My face lights up when I see him. I know the service will be awesome . Pat Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
