Dickey's Barbecue Pit - Lakewood

Opened 4 days ago. No reason to complain just yet. Was it good, yes, can it get better, yes. We had a huge meal for $26. Loved it.

Very small, compared to what I'm use to for this chain. I love their Texas style brisket, but when asked for it to be chopped that way I felt like I was talking to a wall. She reluctantly chopped it, but in chunks. Really made me sad as it does affect the taste when the BBQ sauce hits it. I would go back though.

Enjoyed the atmosphere, services (cool soda machine) very tender barbecue. The food was tasty, mouth watering delicious. Had the Friday Pulled Pork Special which included drinks in a Big Yellow Cup to keep, choice of 2 sides, dinner roll ice cream cone for less than $13. Had the mashed potato casserole green beans.

Food is very good. Reasonable prices for what you get. Employees are helpful and friendly! Store was neat and clean. I have been to 2 locations and all of the above is true for both stores. Definitely going back soon.

I had the Wednesday special, and beans and mac-n-cheese sides. Everything was excellent. The sausage was so tasty. I will return; it will be sooner rather than later. The mac-n-cheese was the only disappointment; it was a little pasty with minimal flavor.
