One of the best places I have ever been to!!!!! You must try the devils on horseback!!! My server was incredible, she was very helpful in describing the menu to me. We will be back all the time!!
This is the best restaurant to come to Cleveland in a long time and what has been sorely missing from the Lakewood area. The atmosphere and decor does lack a bit, however, between the head bartender, Tommy, and Chef Demetrios, my palate couldn't be more pleased. The cocktails, straight out of the prohibition era, are well balanced and never overly sweet. Tommy, armed with a wealth of information about the history of these cocktails, a fantastic attitude and superb customer service, is such a treat. I highly recommend asking him to make you something of his choosing (he will always ask what spirit you'd like). You will not be disappointed. I also recommend off-menu cocktails such as the Avaition, Corpse Reviver 2, Verdita Green and the French 75. As for the menu, the burgers are out of this world. Always juicy, delicious and perfectly cooked. There are very few things on the menu that I have tried that have not sent me on a taste adventure, between the local product and meats, perfect seasoning, impeccable combinations of flavors and textures...just to die for. Only on the rare occasion has an entree been a bit too rich, but overall, I have been very pleased with everything Chef Demetrios has put on my plate. Best of the best, aside from burgers of course, are the Devils on Horseback, Oysters (yep, fresh oysters in Ohio), short ribs and the Bahn Mi. Yum. Try it once, you'll go back every week. You have been warned.
A competely new experience. This is a new restaurant brought to you by the former chef at Deagan 's and the current chef at Oak Barrel, but this new place is not either of those. And since the plan is to shake up the menu every month or so, whatever you thought it would be will have changed anyway. We dined recently with a couple form Boston who proclaim themselves as 'foodies ', and they loved the rabbit loin and the trout. My wife had a complete entrée made out of mushrooms and pasta and she loved it. For those who don 't like to experiment, you can build your own burger too. I think you need to try this place. It isn 't another (fill in the blank) because it isn 't like any other place. Plus, a place in Lakewood with plenty of free parking and huge patio? When does that happen? Give it a try.
