Moonrise Cafe - Lakewood

The atmosphere is lovely, and the waitstaff is incredibly friendly. Our server, Mikalen (I hope I spelled your name right!), was so sweet and handled our chatty, outgoing nature with patience. The coffee was bold, which I really enjoyed—just a splash of cream to lighten it up was perfect. The waffle was light and scrumptious, especially with the strawberries and cream. As for the bacon, it was exactly how I like it—crispy and well done! I also tried a blackberry mimosa for the first time; it was a delightful twist on the traditional orange juice version. And I apologize for my dad trying to negotiate two shirts for $30!

Delicious and welcoming, this charming mom-and-pop breakfast/brunch spot in Washington completely surprised me! I never knew biscuits could be so soft and fluffy until I visited. The portion sizes are incredibly generous, making for a truly comforting experience.

Now, let's talk about the food – it was absolutely fantastic, a solid 10/10! It wasn't overly salty or greasy like some breakfast places can be, which I really appreciated. Even the leftovers I had the next morning were fresh and not soggy at all. I’m definitely planning to bring my family here when I'm back in Lakewood! This spot offers great food at affordable prices, along with AMAZING service.

Very small place and hours of operation aren't very long but food was amazing. Everytime I would see a meal delivered to a table I wanted to change my order but was glad I didn't after receiving my food. Highly recommended for breakfast. You will not be disappointed with food or prices.
