The Max Chophouse - Lamar

My man's ribeye was excellent! we usually don't order steak because we can prepare it better ourselves, but this was the one among the best he ever had. . . . . it was so big, he got two additional meals at home from the left! I was a little disappointed in caesar salat the first time that I was "here was romain salat used and it was crisp and refreshing as it was served on a chilled dish. at our recent visit, the green seemed to have been a mix that I would have bought from the load. they were fresh, but not almost as satisfying or Caesar style as I had before. I appreciate the cook and the workers who accept my nutritional restrictions; the vegetarian meal was great! I especially enjoyed the delicious rice and the squash. we will return (only hope that the salate is more like the first I had).

Nice to see someone trying to do something in rural America!!! We had a nice experience. Food was delicious and the waiter was awesome. They made the birthday we were celebrating extra special. It was great to take several people out to celebrate at a nice place with good food without driving for hours to and from a restaurant. It was cheaper to eat there than drive two vehicles to Pueblo or Garden City and eat there somewhere at a nice place. We had a great experience overall and will return!

Nobody inside, doors were locked, arrows pointing to another direction. Finally someone came out and waved us to another door. Bar area on a Friday night at 7pm had 2 people and nobody in the restaurant. Had a glass of wine but didn’t feel like eating there because the bartender was the cook too. Actually very nice restaurant atmosphere

This restaurant is definitely the best in Lamar CO. Unfortunately this time we did not get to dine with them as the kitchen hood malfunctioned and they could not prepare their normal fine meals. These things happen, but we will be back.

This is an outstanding restaurant in this town. Tony, the general manager was very attentive in making sure our dining experience was great. Excellent restaurant, far better than most in the Lamar.
