O Girasol - Lambeth

Popped in here at 9.25 am on a Sunday morning for a solo cappuccino. Staff very welcoming, unusually open when comparable establishments were still closed. They had a cappuccino with oat milk for the same price as one with cow’s milk so that’s a bonus too. Do try this restaurant, I’m sure you will not be disappointed.

The lengthy Norwood Road hosts a plethora of eating establishments and whilst visiting our family in London and in need of a cooked breakfast, my wife and I chose to ignore our usual haunt and instead decided to try “O Girasol”. What an astute and very fruitful decision! “O Girasol” is a family-run establishment whose singular aim is to provide its customers, with only the VERY best. And provide it they did. The very best in taste, in presentation, in cleanliness, in cost, and in their remarkable warmth and speed of service. The icing upon the cake was getting into conversation with the owners’ son, a young boy aged 10/11 ? . What exemplary manners and a boy to be extremely proud of. My wife and I can HIGHLY recommend “O Girasol” and can guarantee you’ll be absolutely delighted with everything you find. A definite West Norwood gem. A definite winning team.

First visited here as my wife was organising a function for 50 in this small family owned restaurant. The owners are from Madeira and are extremely friendly and welcoming. I was there only as my wife's driver but because we were involved in this function we were treated to a free drink. So it only seemed fair to go back there to try their food, so that is what we did. Their menu has the usual cafe favourites PLUS some items from their home country. I had grilled sardines, can't remember what my wife ordered, but it was all delivered with a natural smile. They also have an interesting range of drinks, not local to UK with some exotic flavours. Well worth a visit, and I would imagine fantastic for a small function.

Lovely little cafe with plenty of good eats and pram space. Staff attentive and friendly! Will definitely return.
