Lambton Park Hotel

Came here for a pre show dinner and were glad we had booked a table. Saw quite a few patrons come in looking for a seat without success. We were told that there was a 40 minute wait on meals when we ordered, which stretched out to 1 hour before our meals arrived. My husband ordered the Gympie fillet and I ordered the lamb rump and both were cooked to perfection, unfortunately the mash and vegetables were luke warm and let the meal down greatly. We would have sent the meals back, however as we were getting short on time and the kitchen was so busy, we didn't. Atmosphere was noisy which made it difficult to have a conversation and for the price we paid, it was somewhat disappointing. The kitchen was run off its feet, perhaps some extra staff would alleviate the incredibly long wait and avoid serving lukewarm meals.

We took our 3 young children here out of curiosity and we were pleasantly surprised. It is a typical suburban pub and all in all, although not a 'gastro pub', it had all the makings of the stereotypical pub grub that makes these types of establishments stand out. The kids meals were very well done and the whole menu had a great selection of dishes that everyone could enjoy. Worth a visit for sure.

Popular tidy hotel in the burbs with friendly staff and good beer. The best our party of 6 could rate the food was average, maybe an off night? We will try again in a couple of months.

I absolutely love the vintage furniture and decor. Staff are friendly. First two visits were pretty good but the latest visit was a bit underwhelming, it took 30 minutes for food and drinks to come. They got my friends drink order wrong and rather than apologise, made out that she ordered the wrong thing. Croissant was cooked on the sandwich press so it was squashed.
